The eye-catching artwork designed by Bruce Whitley certainly makes sure we are visible when out in the community and highlights the various groups Sunrise supports.
Alan says sponsoring a vehicle is a practical, helpful way for him to support local and give back to the community he has lived in most of his life and been in business in for over 25 years.
“I think, if you can, it’s good to be able to give back to the community in some way and for me that’s through car sponsorship. In fact, I’m quite passionate about it and happy to help in a way that works for both me and Sunrise,” says Alan.
Alans believes Sunrise aligns with his values and is such a worthy cause. He also likes that Sunrise is for everyone, rather than limiting themselves to one cause, sector or group.
Glenda Stokes, Sunrise CEO, says the ongoing support of the vehicle is appreciated and an enormous help financially. As a community foundation Sunrise uses only one percent of endowments to cover operating costs and while this is great for donors to know that 99 percent of their donations go towards helping our community it can be challenging. Alan’s unwavering commitment, even when times are tough, is hugely appreciated.
Glenda says that having the car to visit donors or various community groups is so important and much appreciated.
“The past few years have been challenging for business owners, so sponsorship means a lot," says Glenda.
