Special Interest Endowment Funds

Special Interest Endowment Funds

In addition to our General fund which is used to grant to local charities, organisations and worthy causes in our annual funding round, we also have 49 special interest endowment funds. These funds are where locals can support causes close to their hearts.

Special interest funds are established when donations or bequests total $50,000 or more. Any donation made to a special interest fund is invested, protected and grown each year in line with inflation. Every year the surplus investment income from donations is granted back to the charity or organisation it was intended for.
