Gisborne LandSAR

Gisborne Land Search and Rescue (LandSAR) has been searching for and rescuing lost, missing, and injured people for over 60 years.

Gisborne Land Search and Rescue's (LandSARspecialist search and rescue skills are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Gisborne LandSAR does a vital job, many times in trying situations. Although it’s a service none of us hopes we’ll have to call on, it’s reassuring to know that if in need we have a group of capable and professional rescuers to help.

Rescue volunteers have a wide spread of expertise across many fields and regularly clock up over 5,000 hours a year.

Although LandSAR are well supported by organisations such as the police and their national body, they cannot run a full search without supplementary equipment, over and above that supplied by third parties. They continually require specialised equipment and training of volunteer rescuers. Donations to this fund will help fund the vital equipment and training required.
