Kath Kitchen, Sunrise's most recently elected trustee joins a dedicated team of eight trustees under the leadership of Rob Dymock.
Kath officially assumed her position in September and has already made a significant impact by contributing to the establishment of Sunrise’s new Risk and Audit Committee chaired by fellow trustee Whaimutu Dewes. In addition to her roles on the board and new committee, Kath supports Alzheimer’s Gisborne-Tairāwhiti and Sunshine Service Incorporated’s special interest funds as a Sunrise donor.
"I get great satisfaction as a donor knowing my gift will benefit the district now and in perpetuity. To me, Sunrise is the future of our community’s well-being, providing both general grants and dedicated special interest funds," says Kath.
Glenda Stokes, CEO of Sunrise Foundation says Sunrise is incredibly fortunate to have such high-calibre trustees and committee members “who are dedicated to creating positive change and welfare for our region. As a group they offer a diverse set of skills, community insight, and expertise.”
