Environment fund more important than ever

Severe weather events have highlighted the importance of growing the Environment Endowment Fund with Sunrise. The fund was established to support charitable groups or organisations working to protect, promote and preserve the natural environment of Gisborne-Tairāwhiti now, and forever. If you would like to actively support the fund with a one-off or regular donation, please visit ‘Donate now’ on our website.

Champions of Workplace Giving

Turanga 1

Billy Babbington and Maria Samoa from Turanga Health.

Since 2015 Turanga Health have been offering their staff the opportunity to join the Workplace Giving scheme through Sunrise. By giving from as little as $5 per week the total amount donated exceeds an impressive $40,000. Truly amazing.

EIT scholarship recipient

Jason Young is studying a Bachelor of Teaching and was awarded a scholarship from our EIT Students Endowment Fund. Jason is of Māori descent and says he wants young Māori learners, (especially boys), to have a reflection of themselves standing before them. Kia kaha koe, kia u tonu, ki te mahi na. Keep up the good work.
