Realising boys potential

Tauawhi Mens’ Centre used their grant from Sunrise to extend their Tuakana-Teina mentoring project which supports young boys at risk by helping them establish relationships with men who can provide positive role models, creating connections with someone who looks and sees potential in them.

They do a range of activities such as youth events with speakers and workshops, and activities including Waka Hourua sailings, whanau kai/korero nights and work experience pathways.
