Craigs Investment Partners (Craigs) has donated money they would have usually spent on Christmas gifts for their clients to The Sunrise Foundation. This is the fourth year they have chosen to do this, supporting a new Sunrise fund each time.

Aware that record numbers of drownings were recorded across New Zealand last summer, the local Craigs team most recently chose to donate to the Swim for Life Tairāwhiti (SFLT) Endowment Fund.

Investment Adviser Fleur Gardiner and the local Craigs Branch work with Sunrise to determine where their donations will be best put to use.

“We’re surrounded by the sea here in Gisborne, which means it’s even more important that kids are getting the chance to learn how to swim. For some families swimming lessons are not always accessible or affordable,” says Fleur.

Craigs place immense value on supporting the local communities they work and live in. Their workplace giving initiative means that community giving is encouraged from all levels of the organisation, with a portion then directed into a Christmas giving campaign through the New Zealand-wide network.

“Sunrise’s community insight is invaluable to ensure our donations will have the biggest impact for our local charities.”

The Gisborne Craigs branch has supported a variety of Sunrise endowment funds over the past three years including Eastland Helicopter, SuperGrans Tairāwhiti and Suicide Prevention.

We would like to thank both Craigs and their clients for their generosity. It’s wonderful that you give back to the community you live and do business in. If you too would like to support the SFLT Endowment Fund with a donation, click here.
