Bob and Aileen's legacy
20 August 2020 - Sunrise FoundationA donation of $1.38m was gifted to Sunrise from Bob and Aileen Harris’s estate in 2018, the largest bequest Sunrise has received. The investment income from their named fund goes to our local rescue helicopter, Waipaoa and applicants in Sunrise's annual funding round.
A belief in giving back
18 August 2020 - Sunrise FoundationMaureen Potroz donated her bequest to Sunrise’s General Fund. The investment income from Maureen’s donation is granted to applicants in our annual funding round, supporting those with immediate needs - the most needy right now – whoever they may be and whenever their need arises.
