Sunrise supports charities and community organisations in the Gisborne/Tairawhiti region (the area covered by the Gisborne District Council).
Since we launched three years ago we have awarded 60 grants to 53 worthy causes across the arts, community, education, environment, health and sports communities in the Gisborne/Tairawhiti District, with a total value of $108,000.

When you can apply
We do one funding round per annum in July and August. Applications for the 2018 funding round will open in July 2018. Application dates for the 2018 funding round will announced in June 2018.
Who can apply
Eligibility and funding priorities are decided each year by our Grants Committee and set out in our funding policy. The application form and funding policy for the 2018 funding round will be available June 2018.
